A Spectacle of Color Takes to the Skies: Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival 2023
Date and Location
The 9th Annual International Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival & Food Truck Fiesta takes flight from November 17 to 19. That is Friday to Sunday in mid-November.
The hot air balloons will launch at the following locations:

Sunday - Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa Rancho Mirage
Event Tickets
Don’t miss out on one of California’s biggest and most popular events of the year. The festival is free to attend and take pictures. However, some events and activities will require tickets or fees. You can get your tickets here.
Tickets for some events are as little as $5, but prices can vary depending on the day and event the tickets are for. Make sure to check the different ticket options available. You may also need to pay sales tax on the tickets.

What to Expect
Witness the beautiful display of hot air balloons as they grace the Coachella Valley skies. Spectators can experience exciting shows and entertainment. You can expect a great selection of food trucks, live music, and a drone show. There are also plenty of things to do with the family. You can visit the vendor market, try tethered balloon rides, and visit the kids' zone for the youngsters.
On November 18, the Balloon Glow Car Show takes place on the 3rd level of Downtown Cathedral City’s parking structure. Be there from 2 pm to 6 pm. You can also join the show by showing off your most prized vehicle. It will give you a chance to win the 2023 Best of Show trophy. Even if you don't enter the competition, you can enjoy seeing a range of rare and classic vehicles.
If you’re visiting on Sunday, you’ll also get the chance to see the launch of unique-shaped hot air balloons! And after, you can enjoy a pancake breakfast at Big League Dreams Sports Park.
