At over three kilometers long, the Tahquitz Canyon Loop Trail is great for hikers of all skill levels and ends with a beautiful sight of a waterfall before heading back to Palm Springs.

Skyline Trail: Cactus to Clouds

Another difficult yet rewarding hike, the Skyline Trail, begins on the outskirts of Palm Springs and heads directly up into the San Jacinto Mountains. 

At nearly 10 miles, the Skyline Trail has the greatest elevation change of any trail in the United States, so hikers can watch their view get better and better with every step.

Andreas Canyon Trail

Andreas Canyon hiking trail is another simple hiking path that’s great for hikers of any skill level, winding up the side of the canyon for nearly a mile.
With all sorts of native California flora to enjoy and a stream that winds by the trail at one point, there are many gorgeous sights to take in on this hike.

South Lykken Trail

Located just south of Downtown Palm Springs, South Lykken Trail is often regarded as one of the best trails in Palm Springs for its ease of access, incredible viewpoints and relatively low skill level needed. 

Flora and fauna are common sights on this trail, with local wildflowers, palm trees along the path, and bighorn sheep roaming nearby.
