Discover Spanish Colonial Real Estate in Palm Springs

There is nothing more beautiful than the incredible Spanish-style homes for sale in Palm Springs, or Spanish Colonial style as they are sometimes referred. Their architecture is simply timeless and blends perfectly with the desert landscape. These homes typically have terracotta roof tiles and stone chimneys, which stand out at first glance. They are built typically with either stucco or adobe exteriors. The best part about these materials is that they transfer temperature slowly, which is extremely important, especially in the desert. These materials make the homes environmentally friendly because they stay cooler in the summer than the typical mid-century modern home in Palm Springs and Spanish homes stay warmer in the winter. Not only is this great for the environment, but for you wallet as well.

One of the many attractive features of Spanish homes in the Palm Springs area is that they usually nestled in mature landscaping. Nearly all of the Spanish homes in Palm Springs are over 80 years old and their yards we planted at the time of construction. It's not unusual to find olive trees, ocotillo plants and cacti that are as old as the houses they are situated next to.
