Bob Hope had not one but two homes in the Movie Colony in Palm Springs. The first was a lovely three-bedroom house at El Alameda Road, where he lived with his wife Dolores until 1946. This house has been restored and still stands today.
His second home, bought in 1946, was a large estate at Linda Vista Road with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a pool, a tennis court, and a guest casita. Bob and Delores lived there for years, hosting famous guests. Despite changes, the house still keeps some of its original charm.
Besides these two homes in Movie Colony, he had another one in Southridge Palm Springs (4.7 miles away from his first home). The Southridge residence gained quite a reputation and was affectionately known as the "Home of Hope." It's safe to say that Palm Springs held a special place in his heart!
