The Palm Springs lifestyle appeals to home buyers of all kinds. Whether you love modern architecture, avant-garde art, fine dining, hiking the San Jacinto Mountains, or being a part of a vibrant and engaged community, there is no shortage of things to enjoy in Palm Springs.

The season of music festivals and fun is just about to start rolling in through the warm summer months and into the fall. Keep an eye out for two of Coachella Valley's biggest musical events coming up.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

As every resident of Palm Springs knows, one of the nation's hottest music weekends is hitting off Friday April 14, 2017 in the city of Indio, half an hour south of Palm Springs. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival dates back to 1999 when the first two-day music festival was held. Today Coachella runs a total of six days. Two identical three-day line-ups will perform April 14 – 16 and April 21 – 23.

Five main stages and two smaller stages host the 161 musical acts that will be playing the event. The festival is a mecca for artists from many genres of music including rock, indie, hip hop, and electronic music. This year Radiohead, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the event. Attendees can also expect to see performances from Lorde, Father John Misty, Bon Iver, and Bastille.

Unlike other musical festivals in the country, Coachella offers a twist on the classic music festival that is uniquely Palm Springs. As you stroll the concert grounds, you'll find that an impressive selection of art displays are featured. This year, you can expect to find pieces from Chiaozza, Obscura, and Robert Bose.

Stagecoach

Stagecoach is the largest country music festival in California. The three-day event (April 28 – 30) also takes place in Indio, and features the agile guitar work and sweet melodies of country and bluegrass music. This year's event marks the 10th year the festival has run and Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney, and Dierks Bentley are set to headline. The country music lover can also enjoy tunes from Brett Eldredge, Willie Nelson, Maren Morris, and Thomas Rhett this year.

Each year, this event draw more than 50,000 attendees, and it is the highest grossing country music festival in the world. In addition to a fantastic line-up of country's biggest names, there are a number of attractions worth exploring including a kinetic energy playground, some of Coachella Valley's finest local eateries, a dance hall, games, and arts and crafts. As a family-friendly music festival, parents with young children will find that young ones under 10 are granted free admission, and that there will be plenty for them to do.

So, if you're in the area, come to hear the music, and stay for the lifestyle. Trusted Palm Spring real estate agent Geoffrey Moore can help you find the perfect Palm Springs home to fit your lifestyle and your budget.
