Just an hour and a half southwest of Palm Springs is Temecula, a small, luxurious town of over 100,000 people that makes a great getaway for Palm Springs homeowners.

Among the many things to do in Temecula are some of the finest wineries in the state, making this a great option to gather some friends and make a weekend of it.

To help plan your weekend, we’ve compiled a list of a few of the finest wineries in Temecula you’ll want to check out.

Baily Vineyard And Winery

Starting on Rancho California Road, Baily Vineyard and Winery has been operating since the early nineties, working with four different vineyards to create some of the finest wines in the area.

Start the tour by having a little light lunch at Carol’s restaurant before embarking on your day-long tour!

Bel Vino Winery

Continuing west down Rancho California Road brings wine enthusiasts to the Bel Vino Winery, offering a different experience than traditional vineyards with wine slushies, the perfect relief from the hot California sun.

Check the docket on what live bands are playing while you’re there, with event spaces set up to enjoy music under the setting sun while sipping on some of the finest wines around.

Peltzer Farm And Winery

Head north up Calle Contento Trail to find Peltzer Farm and Winery on over 25 acres. A popular wedding venue for its large, gorgeous event space and stunning views of the nearby landscape.

Not to mention the wines! With a great selection of reds, whites and blends, there’s plenty to discover here beyond the incredible views of the area.

Vindemia Vineyard And Winery

Often cited on lists of the best wineries in Temecula, Vindemia has been family-owned and operated for nearly twenty years.

Supremely situated overlooking the Temecula hills, visitors of Vindemia can sip on some of the finest varietals in the valley while taking in some of the best views in the area.

After a day full of wine and friendship, getting back to Palm Springs is just an hour and a half tour away so that you can head back in the evening or, if you don’t have a designated driver, grab a hotel room and head back in the morning.
