Experience Ranch Club Real Estate

Many of the homes in Ranch Club Estates were first build in the 1960s. Development in this area was driven by the vision of Noel Clarke. Clarke owned the incredibly popular Ranch Club. In the 1950s, the social club had more members than the Racquet Club or the Tennis Club. Yet, his vision of community extended far beyond a successful club, he also dreamed of creating Ranch Club Estates, a neighborhood of a thousand homes. When the community was complete, it was also imagined to have a golf course and community center.

Although Clarke’s dreams never fully came to fruition, he did begin the work of creating his dream community. Despite his intentions to build one thousand homes, only 300 were completed before the company went bankrupt. The homes were largely built by the Ranch Construction Company, and many of the houses were designed by Hugh Kaptur. At the time, Kaptur was a member of the Ranch Club and had yet to become the well-known architect that he is today. In total, Kaptur created five different home designs that influenced the style of this community.

Today, this mature neighborhood is home to towering petticoat palms, classic bungalow-style homes, and desert-inspired architecture. A range of different architectural styles are present on the Ranch Club real estate market. Kaptur’s drawings helped to create a number of homes with Midcentury Modern qualities.

You can also find Santa Fe style homes that are crafted from durable stone exteriors and heavy timber frames. The stone in these builds is perfectly suited to the desert climate. The walls transfer temperature very slowly, which means that they will hold the heat of the day throughout the cold summer nights and retain the coolness of the night throughout the heat of the day.

There are also a number of Spanish style builds in this community. These are easily identified by their iconic terracotta roofs and crisp, white exteriors. Whatever architecture style you find beautiful, you will be sure to find something available on the Ranch Club real estate market.

Homes in Ranch Club are situated on quarter-acre lots. This is an ample amount of space for those who wish to have a pool. In fact, many Ranch Club homes for sale have already been fitted with swimming holes. Backyards are also a great place to entertain or host a barbecue.
