This Year's Curated Spaces

Intersect Palm Springs features two main curated spaces this year, Good Vibrations and ZZYZX Redux. With a theme of the environment and local history, these spaces seek to educate and inform in an entertaining and fulfilling way.

Good Vibrations

Despite the name, it doesn't look like the Beach Boys have much to do with this one. Offering an in depth look at the influence of geometry, color and light in art that evolved out of Southern California in the 1950s, this exhibit looks at how these elements have been utilized in the local art scene.

ZZYZX Redux

With an eye to history and the environmentalism of the area, this art exhibit seeks to raise awareness of the harm caused by human activity, as well as the effects of dislocation and exploitation that's happened in the past. Featuring the work of over 10 local artists, this exhibit has photographs, sculptures, sketches and paintings.
